Here's the difference between the two: The Consew is newer and has reverse. The Consew has a vertical hook which loads bobbins from the right of the needle. The Singer is older, does not have reverse and has a horizontal hook like a Consew 206, which loads bobbins from the left of the needle. It does have automatic lubrication, but to me that's not any kind of advantage.
Just having reverse is enough to get the Consew over the Singer.
No one lives forever, the trick is creating something that will.
