Consew Issues!

Just screwed up my French seams on a bench seat that I am doing. My machine would be going along just fine then all of a sudden throw in half a dozen really tight stiches. I reset it, but it's still doing it. Help!

What size thread are you sewing with? Can you take a picture of how you have the machine threaded? Are you sure the bobbin thread is installed properly? The thread coming off the bobbin should look like the letter "P" with the thread hanging down to the left side. Is your needle installed correctly with the scarf to the right and the fluted side facing to the left?

Thanks for getting back to me Dan! My bobbin looks to be installed properly and the needle is correct. I hope you can tell how I thread the machine by the pictures. They didn't look super clear to me. The thread that it keeps happening with is V92-T90. Thanks for your help!

Sounds like the material is dragging on something. Make sure the surface of the machine and table are clean and that there is nothing for the material to catch on. I spray silicone spray on the sewing surface. This Creates non-stick slick surfaces and allows the material to slide smoothly.

If you're sewing leather, beachbum jim could be right. That shouldn't be a problem if it's vinyl. Size 92 thread should work fine. I can't really see anything in your pictures. I'll post a picture tomorrow. Most of the time it's something simple causing the problem.

Here's how your machine should be threaded.
