I went out and bought an Astro Master Ball Joint service kit. And I've used it for ball joints, U-joints but more importantly control arm bushings. You still have to be careful though when pressing them in/out not to crush the arms. A small piece of wood cut in the proper size and wedged in around the bushing works nicely to keep things from crushing in.
