Just changed the entire front end bushings, on my 1984 C-10. You need patience, air chisel, impact gun. Not that hard, just take your time. I used an aftermarket polyurethane parts to rebuild my front end. Hope this help's.

The easiest way I have found to remove factory rubber control arm bushings is to light them on fire with a propane torch and let em' burn. In short order you will be able to get the shaft out and then can easily remove the outer shell. Installing polyurethane bushings is a snap from that point, or installing factory style bushings will require a press. Your local machine shop can usually do it pretty cheap.
