convert ext reg to internal reg alternator

I have a 72 Nova SS, 350 converted to HEI. It has an external voltage regulator and I want to know what is involved with converting to an internally regulated alternator and eliminating the ext regulator that is mounted on the core support?
Thanks, Inovater72

on the new internal regulated alt theres a plug-in with 2 wires IIRC looking from the rear of the alt, the wire on the left is the remote....that wire goes to a 12v switched source - you should have one to the external regulator. Then the output wire goes to either the battery or the battery terminal on the starter.
