Convert My External Reg to Internal Reg

I'm pulling whats left of my hair out....
I want to update my Nova to an intermal regulator caus I can't seem to get the external regulator to work.
Problem: External regulator mainains battery voltage until I use an accessory then it drains and eventually will die. It takes a while, and the GEN light is on but dim.

SOlutions: I disconnected every ground and cleaned the connections, replaced the Battery, Alternator, and regulator. I also installed a ground from the engine to the frame and from the battery to the body. WTF ? Driving me nuts.

Problem 2: Bought internal regulator alternator and followed the wiring steps as follows:

Eliminated white wire and priovided constant power to battery, from field plug on alternator, other field plug I connected to brown wire for GEN light and I left the one power wire on back of alternator as it was. Tested and voltage was at 18 on the meter NFG..

I was able to get both alternaotrs warrentied and have a new regulator but have not hooked anything up as of yet, I thought I would ask for some help...

PLEASE? Anybody
