350turbo trans,just reinstalling it. it turned and popped in twice,maybe three times,but not sure.when it went it,the converter was full,and fluid came out the bottom hole for the lines.it didnt interfere with the flexplate and it had a 1/8th or so inch gap between the flexplate and where the bolts go in the converter.
1/8th in. separation from the converter to the flexplate with the trans bolted up is about what your looking for, and also another thing i do is make sure it turns freely as well.
ya it was about an 1/8 inch or so from the flexplate, i took a chance and fired it up,no noise and the wheels turned forward and reverse.. guess ill put the brakes on and drive it iaround in the garage,its raining out :thumbup:
