Converter drain question

In my rebuilt converter, I recently noticed a very small allen screw set in the outside edge of the converter. Its maybe 1/8" in diameter and will use an even smaller allen wrench. I see some kind of sealant on it and am wondering if its safe to remove it for a full converter drain on my next service? It appears to be inbetween 2 ridges which I assume are for the vanes? Just hate to pull it out and screw something up.

Thanks for any replies.

Mark

That seems really tiny for a drain plug, was it added there by whoever rebuilt it or somthing, what kind of tranny is it for.

My buddy just flushed out his tranny's converter, it had a plug from the factory, it was for a chrysler 727, it was just a hex headed pipe plug, 5/16's wrench took it off....I guess that would be a 1/4 inch pipe plug.....pipe sizes piss me off, lol.
