Converting 54 Chev front brakes to disc

I just bought an all stock 54 Chev Belair and I'm thinking of replacing the front drum brakes with disc. The car has the original 6 cyl. in it but eventually I will replace the drive train with a V8 plus trans and rear. What manufacturer's are out there that are reasonably priced with reasonable quality that I can shop for a spindle/brake package? Is it advisable to go to power assist now or can I wait if the $ go beyond my immediate budget? Thanks for the advice.

Speedway Motors has kits for disc brakes on your spindles.
