hi guys just new here looks cool so i'll stick around.
heres my question

i am transplanting an 1800 turbo subaru engine in my mates beetle via a mating plate but i'm not sure how to cool it,i've been told that i can put rad in the front (engine will stay at rear) and it will be cooled due to the extra length of hoses etc? dont know if this is true so would appreciate any tech or info you guys could give.
i am based in uk so all spec is uk .

i would prefer to leave body alone so dont really want to do too much along those lines.

You know that Porsche 911's up until the middle 80's just an oil cooler under the fan and a loop cooler which pushed the oil from the sump out along the right side of the floor pan to a loop in the right front wheel well. The loop system only opened up when the temperature got high enough to trigger a valve.

You might look into putting a couple of small radiators into the front wheel wells. Consider using copper tubing to move the cooling water as it will radiate a lot more heat than a rubber hose which serves to insulate. I have also seen radiators mounted parallel to the floor with a pusher fan pushing cold air down. Maybe you could vent the front hood to allow cool air to be vented in and then push it through the floor.

Just ideas.
