coolant block drain plug

where is the coolant drain plug located on the block of a 350 olds?

on each side of the block near the bottom in the center?

i didn't see the coolant drain plugs anywhere near the center of the block on both sides. could they be anywhere else on the block? i only saw freeze plugs.

It should be down closer towards the starter. Its fairly close to an exhaust port towards the back of the engine. Depending on what you have for exhaust (manifold or headers) you might need to get under the vehicle to see it.

block coolant drain plug?

I don't believe there is any other coolant drain but the one on the bottom of the radiator.

if there is only the radiator drain plug how will i drain the block?

Do you have a coolant temp sensor in the side of your block? If so, thats your drain point for the block.

no...i don't think i have a temp sensor on the block.

drain that block

is the block still in the car? did you pull the water pump yet? are you leaving the trans attached to the block?
