Cooler line problems

I'm hoping someone will know what the line size(5/16?) and if reducers or anything is needed for a 700R4. I need the fitting size that goes to the trans. connections. I'm replacing lines and I want to get everything on the FIRST trip to the parts house.

Also need to know what size fitting for the radiator connections.

Powerglide - Dedenbear/TH400/700R4/4L60/4L60E/4L80E (1991-1996), AND (fittings are upper/out-lower/in- on the Th200/TH200C Metric, and 2004R)
Fitting Location....Upper.........Lower
Thread Size.........¼” Pipe......¼” Pipe
Flow Direction......Return/in....Cooler feed/out

These are the threads in the transmission case and they are almost always equipped with an adapter to allow the use of a 45 degree flared steel line.

The lines are either 1/4 or 5/16, I have seen both, and I have also used a pipe fitting to hose barb in the case myself.

It would be best to take the line out of the fitting adapter and size it for yourself at the parts store, this way you KNOW you have the right one the first time.

Thanks M&M, That'll save me a ton of trouble. I hate when the shop your working at is twenty miles from a part's store.
