Cooling fan????

I'm considering a lighter weight fan for my ZZ4, only thing is that I have a/c on the engine and don't know if I want to sacrifice the cooling capabilities of a good ole heavy clutch fan! Do these new plastic blades pull adequate air?
Thanks

If you are refering to switching to electric fans, then with a V8 and A/C, I strongly suggest using a dual fan setup. They are pricey, but will pull a suffecient amount of air for good cooling. Also, you need to use the manufactures relays to make sure the fans run with the A/C even though the engine temp may be low.

There are lots of electric fan kits on eBay, but be very careful, most don't pull enough to vent your bathroom!!! Contact your local speed shops for recommendations on fans. You can expect to pay around $300+ for a good dual fan kit.

I have the dual flex a lite #210 on my 454 with A/C and they work great, Bonus is no fan blade to mangle your hands and they also reduce the stress on your water pump, Maybe better gas mileage. Electric fans is the 1st upgrade I do, next GM HEI, next GM Freedom Batt.

I run a dual 12 inch fan setup and like it alot but if I were to do it again I would get a single 96 up lincon mark 8 fan from a bone yard.
Those fans will darn near blow the hat off your head
