Cooling Fan for 6 volt system
I would like to add an electric cooling fan to my 32 Ford Roadster. The vehicle is running a 6 volt electrical system. I have decided to leave the vehicle exactly how my father built the car in the mid 50's, So I have decided not to upgrade to a 12 volt system. Is there any company that would make an auxiliary electric cooling fan that is compatible with a 6 volt system? If not can any of you give me guidance on adapting a 12 volt fan to my 6 volt system? Thanks! Harold

My opinion.....................If you are adding a cooling fan, you are changing the car from what your dad had anyways. Changing to 12 volts is not something that is noticable, other than the battery looks didderent, so I would change it.
BTW, a 12 volt fan will run at half speed on 6 volts. That may be enough.
