Correct stall speed

Hi all,

I'm currently running a 355 small block and 350 turbo with a 2500 stall and 4:11 gear. My idle RPM is 1000. Rear tires are 275-60-15.

I just built a 700R4 to swap out the 350 turbo. With the 700R4 trans the over drive gear ratio will change from 4:11 to 2:88. I need to know what stall speed will work properly. Since the engine RPM will be down in overdrive I'm worried if I don't pick the right converter it will be slipping in overdrive. Any thoughts on the stall speed??? This is just a 69 Camaro street car.

I was under the impression that the 700R4 trans used a "Lock Up" style converter. If this is correct; there will be no slippage when in overdrive.

Yes I think you're correct but until the converter clutch locks it works like a regular converter?
