Corvair IFS steering box mounting question.

I'm still in the design phase for the chassis on my reverse trike, I'm using a 1964 Corvair front suspension with the stock steering setup because its free.

My question is, I need to mount the steering box/column dead center, is it safe to add an extra tie rod between the arm on the steering box, and where it originally bolted directly to on the steering linkage?

A second question would be, where can I order a custom length tie rod?

Thanks in advance, and sorry for the dumb questions.

idler arm ?

you have an idler arm on the right side. you might be able to put one on the left side to keep all the pivor points in the right location then have an aditional tie rod from the relocated box to the steering linkage. Speedway sells custom length tie rods.
