Corvair, Vega, 79 up GM r&p use rag joints?

I understand that Corvair, Vega, and 79 and up GM rack & pinions all shared the same size steering shaft and spline count. I am looking for a factory rag joint. Does anyone know if any of these cars used rag joints to join the steering box to the column? I was pretty sure Corvair does not. I know the aftermarket makes them and so does Borgeson, but I'm really strapped to pay the $100 plus price tag for one. I was hoping there was a factory one I could scavenge from a wrecking yard.

If I understand the question...Yes, there are rag joints on GM R&P setups.
(Ragjoint may be a misnomer, they appear to be some kind of hard rubber or neopreme. )
Found them on both a 1998/2000 Pontiac Lemans manual rack and a 1998/2002 Chevy Cavalier power rack. Should cross over to several others......Sunbird etc.
