Corvette 283 Intake options

I have recently come across what I believe to be a 283 out of a 61-64 corvette the casting numbers are 3789935. The intake is an Edelbrock performance series aluminum manifold (which appears to be from that era). My question is was this an option during that time? I'm trying to find out as much about this specific engine as I can. If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

Edelbrock Intake not an option, GM did have Aluminum Intakes w/GM # and a Snowflake emblem produced by Winters.

That number shows up as '61-'66 car or truck 283.

What you want is the suffix code that was stamped into a boss at the front passenger side of the block where the head meets the block. This can give some indication of what the engine was originally installed in.

There were no differences in blocks used in 'Vettes, trucks or passenger cars, other than the suffix in MANY cases.
