Corvette Body
Have Corvette Bodies Ever Been Made From Anything Other Thatn Fiberglass I.e.(aluminum Sheet Metal) ?

SMC (sheet molded composite). looks like fiberglass, but it isn't.

The 'vette started in fiberglass (1954) and now is made using the SMC panels. Don't know when SMC replaced most (if not all) fiberglass, but it had to be in the 90s. None ever made from aluminum or anything else, not production anyway.
