Corvette top leaks

My 85 corvette top leaks but only leaks in a real hard rain with a lot of wind. The problem is when it does leak it leaks on the cloth seats and leaves a ugly brown water stain. If I use a a foam cleaner that also leaves a stain. I know that I need to fix the leak but how do I get the stains out of the seats? Thanks for any help offered.

sounds like the seat is also dirty.

steam clean the seats or have it done professionally. Anyplace that does engine detailing probably will have the equipment to do interiors too.

WOW just the top leaks every Vette I ever owned was about as water proff as a motorcycle.

The brown stains are dirt that is getting pulled to the surface, pop the seats off the frames, it is pretty easy. Then cleam them very well using water, you can not get soap out and it will attract dirt later on. Wet the seat and place a folded up towel with a weight on it to let is soak up the water. It will take a while but you need to get the foam and fabric clean or the stain will wick to the top when it drys.
