Cost for a 1995 Corvette LT1 and what besides the engine do I need (CPU)?

Looking for a 1995 Corvette LT1 for a street rod. What should a 90K-130K engine seel for with all the parts needed to hook it up... oh yes what are those parts?
Would in be a buch easier to get the trans with the engine for CPU hook ups?(If not I would get the GM overdrive trans.)

$2000 for engine, 6speed trans, wiring harness, cpu, thru ebay.

Have you considered a LS swap, those motors are plentiful, more power, and seem to sell for less.

I checked ebay and that price is fair if it is all there, but I must say LS series engines do not seem cheaper based on what I saw.

If you are going with the six speed manual, that's what's gonna cost you the most. If you go auto, its significantly cheaper. Yes, do get the ECU if you can. There are issues with the VATS security feature and having the factory ECU supposedly makes the swap easier. I scored a complete engine, auto transmission, wiring harness, and ECU with 97k miles out of a 9C1 Caprice for $450. I usually see this combo hovering between $750 to $1200 on Craigslist for my area. Usually those out of a Corvette seem to demand more money.

Also stick with the '95. None of the issues from '93-'94 and its still OBI if you use the stock ECU.

All depends on what you get. Lq4/LQ9 6.0's can go for as little as $1k complete with transmission and ECU. 5.3's about the same.. However with ither of them, the trans is most likely going to be an automatic or a truck 5spd
