Definately an odd question but here goes:

I'm a detailer and I'm stepping up into the world of rotary polishing and buying a DW 849. I wanted to get a 'practice' hood to work on so I figured I stop by the local junkyard. However, I'll need to get it painted since I want to work on it as if it was a real hood with a clearcote. Any idea how much I should expect to pay for this ? Or would there be an easier way to get a practice hood cheap? THanks!

Forget the junk yard!
Go to a body shop and get a wrecked hood out of scrap pile look for one that maybe just bent on corner or very front. The shop will be happy to give it to you.
Want real practice get a Black or Dark blue one.
