could it be bump steer?

1978 Buick Century, yes, it's my Mom's car, when is driven straigth the car wanders to the sides and when cornering seems like somebody is helping turning the wheels from underneath, all ball joints, tie rods, bearings etc are OK, I had it aligned and was fine, tires and rims are new, driving it makes me sick like if was in a boat, any ideas what is happening? feels like bump steer but how come it suddendly appeared?
Thanks.
Augusto.

My 59 does this----could be the 605 box.
But, also the alignment readout I got from the twits @ Sears
said that it was adjusted with 0" toe in. (s/b 1/8" total toe)

I get the wobblies predominately in long sweeping right turns @ 60+mph
So, I am thinking I have an actual toe-out while in motion, and the car cannot decide where it wants to go

That---and I am not real happy with the 605 conversion.

Anybody else got any ideas??????

Bryan

Did something in the box go away? It sounds like box adjustment could be too loose.

If that checks out I'd check the caster specs to see if the tech did actually check it.

Is your idler arm ok? Those can cause problems like that sometimes.
Later, mikey
