could use a little advice on this Engine combo I am putting together 427 cui

Ok here goes I have 454 2 bolt Block and 3T heads
also have a 427 forged steel crank and a set of Howards Aluminium Conecting rods I think they are 6.375 aprox .250 longer than stock. I think I am saying this correct I hope. Is there a way I can measure these Alum rods to get the correct length of what I actually have?
I am trying to figure out what Piston I am supposed to use to get the right size, with the 427 crank.
any good information would be great
Thank you Phil

The best way would be to use a micrometer (4-5" or 5-6" depending on how long your rods are) with two round balls made to fit over anvils (commonly available) or you could get a pretty accurate measurement using a larger dial caliper.
I guess for a ball park number a ruler would work just fine too.

Measure the rod length then take half the pin diameter and half the large bore diameter add all three numbers together and you have your length center to center.

large bore diameter 2.325

pin diameter .990
