Couple of cool things I dug out the shed today. :)

The velocity stack was on my 48 Chevy pickup when I bought it in 1974. :D Geeez, I forget I have this stuff! I am mounting it up on my garage wall, it's art now!
The headers were made by Max Balchoski and given to my brother. He was over helping me and I gave them back to him, he is hanging them up in his shop as art too. :D And don't think he welded so bad, they had been repaired over the years pretty funky by someone else I have to assume. Brian |
I took one of those stacks off my t-bucket, it's in the attic. :D Show me how you're going to wall-art it so I can steal the idea. :D
|
I think I would build a shadow box 'picture' frame for that velocity stack and mount at an angle - and if you had an old carb, mounted on that, even better - a Buick type Rochester, of course, but not a Q-jet. Then as background in the frame, a '60s photo of a Buick engined dragster :D .

Could always put it on your head instead of the tin foil......... :D

I kind of like Ponch's idea, maybe put an antenna or two on there and wear it. I don't know if it will fit my fat head though... :embarrass

"hang it by a hook on a nail"
Does that mean the stuff hanging on the wall in my garage is art? That's what I tell my wife about all of the old girlie calendars I leave hanging on the wall. "It's art Baby!" Not that she's buying that, she's just better at picking her battles than me. I fight for the calendars, she fights for more money. |
My rule is simple, if it's hanging on the wall, it's art. :D

What are the voices telling you to do ??????
|
I don't listen to the "voices" anymore, after all they never listened to me.
|
I may just pickup an old Rochester and some tubing and make a manifold like the one on my truck when I bought it and hang that on the wall with the velocity stack on it. Now THAT would be cool.

I have always thought the tri-y header was an excellent design for a dd.
I would love to put a tri-y on the 4.6 in my 65 Mustang, maybe someday I will find the time to build a pair. These trips down memory lane are sweeeet! |
I can't stop myself from hanging up stuff all over my house, shop and any other flat spot I find.
Do I have a sickness? :mwink: |
