A friend had a '74 Capri with the sport package, V-6 and 5-speed, he used to Autocross with it. They were neat cars, they are a pretty rare sight now days.

There used to be a '66 Galaxie 500 XL around here with a factory 428 / 4 speed. Don't know if the guy still has it or not. Nobody believed it was a factory 428, we didn't think they had a 428 in '66 but he bought it from the original owner and had all the documentation for it and the local Ford dealer where it was purchased new verified it.

That Galaxie is very nice!! As for the Capri.... I'm seeing a narrowed rearend with tubs and a four link about a 6" cowl scoop..etc..etc..etc... sounds like a GREAT odd rod to me!!!!

Funny you should mention that. When I first spotted the Capri in old owners yard, I thought it was a 79 Toyota Celica with the 4 eyes and black bar grill.

The Capri WAS the Mustang for the rest of the world. They are still very popular in Europe and Australia. The inside door panels on a 69-72 look just like a 65-66 Mustang. The seats are also very similar.

Its my daily driver since its good on gas. 2.6 V6, 4spd, bored .040 over, Erson cam, MSD ignition. Gets a surprising amount of attention.

The Galaxie is still wearing its original black paint. It has some nicks and scuffs, but overall it buffs out amazing. Its a 352 4brl.
