A couple of side projects

While I've been staring at my car for the last year or so because my truck payments and insurance are taking every dollar I make, I got some old dirtbikes from my work. They were in pretty bad shape but I got them free so I cant really complain. The first bike is a 1986? kawasaki KD80. Its a small 2 stroke bike that is actually a lot of fun to ride around. I rebuilt the motor and pretty much just went through replacing seals and painting a few of the parts. Its actually a good bit faster than I thought it would be topping out at around 45mph. My other bike is a 1979 honda XL185. Ths one is basically a street legal dirtbike with a 3 wheeler motor in it. Right now I've got the bike taken apart painting everything and fixing/replacing a few things. I rebuilt the motor adding a 200cc big bore kit and a performance cam to make things a little more interesting. My plan is to get a motorcycle endorsement and use it to run around town with and maybe to work sometimes.
