Dashing?
A friend put one in his 65 Chevelle. He was disappointed that it was so thin. I seen it and agreed. This was maybe 18 months to 2 years ago, so I don't know if they have changed.
It just didn't seem like he got what he paid for. But once it's in, you really can't tell that I'm aware of at this time. I know I have read more on this on the Chevelle boards. |

BAD experience with Covans's Classic
Ordered the Complete package for my 63 Nova back in January..
Carbon Fiber Gauge Panel with Auto-Meter carbon Fiber gauge set. Almost $800.00 worth.. Called in February and was told the GAuges had been delayed due to weather (OK I can accept that) They charged my credit card the first week of March, and just this week (March 30th) I Finally received a box from them. Only it contained the BLANK 6 gauge Panel filler set and no gauges.. No indication of anything being back ordered, they just sent me the wrong part # I've been trying to contact then for the past 4 days and NO ONE answers the phone, returns email messages, the FAX # doesn't pick up either. I did get an automated reply to my email message saying they were moving and should be back up and running by yesterday... Decided I had no choice but to start the process with my CC Company to reverse the charge out as a "Did not receive merchandise ordered". I'd be glad to give them a chance to "Make it Right" if I could actually talk to someone. Good luck to anyone else even thinking about ordering from them. |

I gave up trying to contact anyone after a month
Ordered Autometer gauges from Jegs and built my own wiring harness.
Sure do hope that the NEW owners do a better job than the old ones did (at least from my perspective). The product itself looks very good, maybe it was just a case of very bad timing for my order. |

Similar problem
Unforturnately I've experieced a similar problem with Covans Classic, which I would assume is now called Classic Dash. I ordered a complete dash cluster for my 69' GMC pickup but they only sent the gauges and carbon fibre dash. They short shippd the wiring harness and indicator lights. I can't get a hold of anyone via email, or local number and the toll free number doesn't work from up here in Alberta. Can anyone help me out with getting a hold of these guys? I've paid in full.

Steve.L: It's O.K. for you to post the Covan's phone number if you have it, in fact I wish you would. It just wasn't O.K. for Kenny to post it. The phone number on their website is completely different than the one Kenny posted.

Call Kenny or Greg Wambold at 775-883-7904 I had already gone another way by the time this # was given to me on this board. (see post above) Hope this works for you, since I haven't used it. Thanks Dan....If we can keep someone else from having to go throough the same issues it all works out for the best....After all that is one of the reasons we post here to begin with - Find help and pass on tips |
