CPU Seat Covers--Horrible

I ordered seat covers from CPU. They look nice in the box, the fabric is nice but when I put them on I was pissed. The covers are for a front bench for a 1971 chevelle 2 door hardtop. The stiching was ripping all over the edges from stretching them on. The holes for the seat back tilt dont even come close to matching up I spent $250 on the front covers and they barely fit. I reused the old foam, which wasnt in bad condition, but I am pissed that these things are such poor quality. I advise every one not to buy their seat covers. They cant even stretch all the way down the seat with out ripping the stitching on the edges as they are way too tight. So now I have a 3 inch "hood" on the top of my seats or I have to rip them to get them top go on right. Man this sucks.

They fit horribly and look even worse.

Have you contacted them? Maybe the wrong thing was in the package. I'd sure call them and tell them how you feel. This could be just an honest mistake. Usually seat covers are too big, not too small.

They are the right ones. The covers have the make and model tg on th inside of the cover sprayed on them(paint). I called and they said that they are made to fit in "general". I doubt other 71 chevelles have different seats than mine. They say that thats how they are supposed to fit????? They should be real tight? I dont know, just dont buy anything from them, they arent horrible just bad stitching in some spots. Did I mention that they ripped too. yep brand new and ripped. I pulled them on and the bootom piece of the seat back thats supposed to wrap under the foam tore off. Pretty sweet huh?

No, seat covers are not supposed to be so tight that they rip when you install them. Did you take pictures and try to get your money back? The squeaky wheel gets the grease, I wouldn't give up until they refunded my money.
