CR using Alcohol - Help needed
I know that a supercharged motor should be a low compression motor running gas due to detonation problems and lean out. What would be the maximum CR for a SBC with a Weiand 177 supercharger running alcohol?

I think the 177 is good for about 8-10 lbs. using the 6" lower pulley I have.

8.0:1 static c.r., 13.4:1 effective c.r. 9.0:1 static c.r., 15.1:1 effective c.r. 10.0:1 static c.r., 16.8:1 effective c.r.

12 to 1 with only 10,ya need static. Most with a 14/71 run 11.5 to 12 with 28 to 30 lbs depending on what they are doing.
