Craftsman Metrinch

Sears is having their Craftsman Tool sale. There is a wrench set called Metrinch that is a set of sockets and wrenches that are used to remove rounded off nuts and bolts. It will work on metric or SAE like a snap. I had a exhaust header bolt that my wife rounded off ( maybe she did and maybe she didn't) and a friend loaned my a Metrinch socket and it came right off. The 48 piece set with sockets 1/4 & 3/8 inch drive and wrenches is $ 129.99 but is on sale for $ 88.88. I know most of you have never seen a rounded off bolt in your life time, but when you are laying on the cold floor at midnight 88 bucks is cheap DAVE

For $10. you can get a nut splitter. It breaks the nut in half on one of its flats.

Crap Warranty

Just recently I decided to use the "lifetime Replacement" Warranty. I failed to read the part that says after you go to the trouble to box it up and pay to ship it to them, they want you to pay $15.00 to send a replacement back to you. What the hell kind of warranty is that? A set costing this much should have a better warranty policy. And for a broken socket.....$10.00 to replace it. That is not a warranty....that is buying a new socket.
