IMO Craftsman tools have been junk for at least the last 8-10 years.
I am a mechanic by trade and have tried them all.

And NO, not everything SnapOn sells is American.
Basiaclly anything electrical, or with electronic parts is made over seas.
The SnapOn 14v impact I bought has Made in Japan on the bottom....but you have to have a keen eye to see it.

Americans have done it to ourselves, no one wants to work for a living, everyone thinks a college education entitles them to earn 100K+ a year, and if they can not find a job that pays what they think they deserve....they will sit on unemployment.

Having said that, the quality of a lot of American made stuff has gone to heck as well. If I were to go and buy a brand new car, it would be Japanese, it would not be "American made".
