Billet ?
I had a Crosley Hot shot crank for a Demo when I taught in the Auto dept at the College. The hot shot was machined from a large round bar. It had counter weights on each side of the rod throws. Theoretically you can get some teeter- totter effect in a crank caused by balance weight location, but a forged crank has stronger metal structure resulting from the forging process. But the hot shots were high reving stock.
