Crankcase evacuation ??

Hey Everyone,

I have been doing some research regarding crankcase evacuation systems. It seems you need an open exhaust or at least a very free flowing system. Their is a lot of contrary information on the subject!

I have seen at least one youtube video of the system working at idle on a street car with mufflers. Another person on a message board stated they put the tubes in the end of the tail pipe rather than the collectors to draw the vacuum. The poster claimed they worked great.... Any thoughts on that kind of setup???

My truck has a 383 Chevy, soon to be blown. with fenderwell headers and dynomax straight through mufflers that exit just behind the cab.

A very free flowing system or open headers make sense, but I think the pulse would be pretty much lost by the time you get to the tailpipe end. Also, on a blower cam you should have more duration on the exhaust side, that would help some. JMO
