Crappy body panels

Some time ago I bought some sheet metal parts for my 1966 BelAir. Now the time has come to start fixing my rusted rear wheel arches, but to my big disappointment I can't use none of the patch panels(four in total) I ordered for this task as the quality of the pressing is really BAD. Same goes fore the front fender patch panels. They just dont have the correct wheel arch profile. The corners are to round and lacks the pressed in "valley" in the arch.

At the same time I ordered trunk filler panels (left and right)and got one good one, painted black, and one unpainted that looked like.. I don't know what, a piece of scrap metal that been ran over by a truck or something

Many companies on Internet sell these parts at approx the same price and I guess they all come from the same supplier, but one can't be sure.. So if anyone knows of a company that have better quality body parts for 1965-66 Chevy B-body cars, please let me know.

Yes, that's the name on the sticker on the good trunk filler panel. I also got two pieces of trunk floor that looked real nice witch has the same brand.
But they don't have rear quarters and front fenders for 65-66 chevy full size. At least not on the homepage.

Yes, maybe. But I think I will need some close up photos of the actual parts before ordering this time. Just so I don't get the same crap as last time.

As I live in Sweden, returning items is out of the question due to high freight costs. At least when it comes to big body panels.

I wonder if anyone ever really used such bad parts on their car, I would never.. I don't even think it's possible to use the unpainted filler panel even if I wanted to.

Goodmark is like Dynacorn and makes a lot of Chevy pieces. Have you checked Goodmark?

I have now

Well, they actually got the rear quarter panels as one gigantic piece, no patch panels. Probably costs a fortune to ship to Sweden. But still it's an option if they are good quality.

Thing is I only need the wheel arches, so I feel like I'm buying, and paying shipping for 20 sq ft of sheet metal that I don't need..

have a shop fab that piece up. Will be a lot cheaper than getting a quarter shipped.

Isn't that China built stuff great. You buy it and hope some how you can make it fit and look some what like it should. I sure hope they can build their bombs better than the stuff they ship to us or all their going to do is blow them selves up.

Goodmark sold out some time ago to a large conglomerate that isn't developing new parts or improving poor fitting ones. No more Goodmark parts here...

I have several Dynacorn pieces on 3 different cars and they do fit much better than most but they still need tweaking.

AMD is another new company that claims they are making parts from all new tooling. I've read a number of reviews that are very favorable for quality, fit and body line match. I'm looking at getting full quarters and trunk floor for my '66 Chevelle from them.

I just looked at their website and nothing for your Bel Air yet...

Unfortunately, you did what many of us do.....anticipate what we need, order the parts ahead of time and then not look closely at them to see if they are really correct or a good match. I suppose it has been too long to go back to the place you bought them from for any restitution ?? I agree the wheel arch doesn't even look like it is for your application and to send 2 different trunk drops, one being a POS, is just poor customer service.

I've had 1/4 panels cut also before shipping. Yes it's more work but they also might get to Sweden in usable shape.
