Cool Crate Engine

Hey, I'm looking at getting a Crate motor for My '72 Nova. I want to get a 350 but I'm not sure what kind to get. All I want is to fix this car up to go cruising and maybe do a few local shows. Can someone help me out and make a few suggestions? I was thinking about something around 250hp. Also, where's the best place to buy them from? Any help you really be aprreciated. Thanks in advance.

The Recon 350s that Summit Racing sells are dirt cheap, for the power that you are looking for...

There are ALOT of sources for basic crate 350's. One reliable source I know is: http://www.sallee-chevrolet.com/

One thing to consider is that if there is a problem, than pulling the engine and shipping is going to kill your bottom line $$$$$.

Here is an idea. Get your specs. together and than go to a good local shop and make them an proposal. See if they can work with you.

If you are doing this yourself than same applies. Honest local shops are going to give you the help you need.

Hope this helps.
