CRATE MOTORS
I hear of people paying prices that range all over for a Small Blk Chev crate motor. I'm looking for a basic 4 bolt(250hp) & was wondering what kind of prices are you guess paying OR do you have a better idea........Don

They range from $1300.00 to just about anything your heart desires. http://www.greenwoodchevy.com/specials.htm These are all GM crate engines and by reputation are pretty well assembled.

goodwrench 350 price is 1480 USD. figure arround 500 on accessories, specs below.also if you want a little more power it is actually cheaper to buy this engine and then substitute parts than it is to put one together yourself
