Crazy Idea.

I have a 1992 chevy silverado with a 4.3 V6 and a 5 speed tranny.
I have the standard instrument cluster, speedo, temp, oil, volts, etc.
I was able to get a Cluster with a tachometer, however, it`s only set up for the V8 unit and the factory didn`t leave the provision for the 6 cylinder unit.
But I was thinking, is there something that can go inline to adjust the signal to work with the 6 cylinder? Crazy Idea, but I`m not big on electrical. Right now I have a small tach mounted in the cd case cavity in the dash above the vent controls. Even so it`s hidden from view and it don`t look bad, I would still rather have a dedicated factory tach. Appreciate any suggestions.
