Talking crazy things you did when you were a kid

Can you remember some of the crazy things that happened with your first car! well here's one, i was 16 at the time a not old enough to drive legaly but had my car (an old Ford Zephyr) waiting on my parents driveway. The weekend was coming to an end, of which i'd spent most of it working on the car removing some interior parts, well it was Sunday night & i arrived home from the pub being dropped off at the roadside outside our house. I remember looking at my car thinking that i had better move it forward so my dad could get his car out of the garage in the morning, so i jumped in & proceeded to move it forward, this is where the fun starts....just as i let the clutch pedal up (not having mastered it yet) the seat fly's back up in the air, next reaction is to straighten legs...ooops wrong leg ..oh s**t accelerator down hard....oh *u*k...too late front door & side window of house ripped off & the car firmly jammed in tight! now bear in mind this was a Sunday night about 11:30 & my dad appears from round the side of the house like a raging bull.
Needless to say i had one ear bigger than the other for months! & the moral of the story besides don't drink & drive is always bolt you seat back down!! <img src="graemlins/spank.gif" border="0" alt="[spank]" />

You had seats in your first car? Lucky you. Know how hard it is to keep the milk crate from sliding?

Sorry about that milk crate Keith, I had bucket seats in mine. Genuine bucket seats, 5 gal each. Still had paint residue in them.

Well boys, thats just too bad, know the feeling though. To boney for milk crates, not enough ars to pad the ride. Buckets, couldn't usem, too skinny again. I used some deck chairs, the foldout kind cut down in a 1961 V-dub bug.

At the shop we have two of those injected mold plastic chairs that we cut the legs off of. The problem with bucket seats is not everyone has the same size bucket! Ya, I refer to my first wife! She was in line in the food store once and her beeper went off. A little kid behind her grabbed his mom and pushed her, screaming, "Look out ma, it's backin' up!"
