Post Cross Flow Exhaust..............

How important is a cross flow on an exhaust system???

I have a set of sanderson headers and a set of flowmasters 50 series and was wondering if i should put a cross over flow tube in the dual 2.50inch exhaust tubes.

Also how far back should you go before you put in a cross over. I would think the sooner the better!

thanks

Bg

I just installed an X pipe on my system....It really helps to balance the exhaust system. And I noticed better performance after I installed the x pipe........ I would recomend a X pipe over a H pipe..... My X pipe starts right after the headers......

I don't know about the X pipe, but the cross tube or h pipe gives more torque and I have always heard to put it in the system in the best place you take a paint stick or paint can and paint a line on both pipes and drive the car a short while and look under the car and the point where the paint burns off first is where you want to put your H pipe for the most good.

Slider I purchased a X pipe get from Summit. Cost was $120.00. Headman Headers makes it. You can also purchase just the X and have the other pipes bent. Just the X is $80.00 I had to use the universal kit for my car. It took a little fabrication but I was able to make it fit great. They have a lot of kits made for specific cars....
