Cross-member/brace on '62 Falcon
I converted my '62 Falcon to a 289 4-spd, disc brake car this winter. I am almost done. The cross-member/brace that used to connect the bottom of the shock towers together by using the 3 motor-mount bolts doesn't fit anymore. I think that the car needs bracing in this area or the 289 will twist things out of shape. Should I alter the old brace to fit? Buy a new one? Build one? Anybody done this before? Do I need this brace?

63 Falcons came with an optional 260 ...the brace from one of those should fit
Should also be pretty easy to make something
