crush sleeve question

I am setting up an 8 inch ford rearend that came out of a 73 maverick and I can not find a crush sleeve for an 8 inch. I can only find one for an 8.8 inch. I was wondering if they are interchangeable, if not where can I get one. I have tried the auto parts stores summit and jegs with no luck. All I have found is the total rebuild kits that are over $100. Any help is appreciated

I recommend using the solid sleeve kit from Currie.
That is a much better situation than a crush sleeve.

I also recommend only Timken bearings on a rebuild.

Ratech makes a solid one also.Part #4114. A solid spacer is a better set up,But there is nothing wrong with a proberly set up crush sleeve.
