Crushed glass
Hi I was wondering if anyone has used the crushed glass that Eastwood sells for sandblasting. I was thinking of trying some but was wondering some of the pros and cons. Thanks.

Sandblasting
as far as sandblasting, glass beads are fine. I don't know about crushed glass, graded sand would be as good if not better. Sand and glass dust is extremely bad for your lungs,(Google silicosis), you must use a supplied air mask while sandblasting with these. Carborundum is safer and gets sharper as it is used. If you don't want to damage the metal you are blasting, use walnut shell. Some shops use bicarb of soda. They can take the paint off fiberglass with out damage.
