I have installed the GM Serpentine belt system which is based on early 90s TPI engine, and the installation sheet refers to 1991 or 92 Camaro book for further reference. The alternator part # is GM 10463172 and is called in the instruction sheet "Delphi Delcotron, CS130 series generator assembly"

I am wiring from scratch with a "It's a Snap" wiring harness by Painless.

How do I wire the alternator?

Thanks in advance for any assistance, I researched the knowledge thread and did find some information, however the schematic would not come thru.

Just to make sure I understand, I will take the wire labeled EXCITER to the F terminal.

I only have a voltmeter with my Dolphin 5 inch quad set gauges(for 52 chevy pick-up).

I will make sure with a meter the EXCITER wire is 12 volts, with my ignition switch in the Start/ON position. Is this correct?

If the wire marked Exciter has switched 12 volts on it , yes, that will go to F.

Since you have no lamp, L will not be used, or used with a resistive load.
