Custom carpet in trunk.

I'm to the point in my build that i need to figure out how to finish the trunk before I install the fuel cell and the other hardware.
I would like to carpet it but can't get it to a shop and don't have the ability to sew at home.
This is a first for me so any input is appreciated.

Thanks

Start with the side pieces that are vertical and flat. Make patterns for each section leaving them a little large, and then one at a time, fit the pieces in and glue them down, bumping them up to each other snugly. You will need to use a high temperature contact adhesive to glue the pieces in place. Once all the individual parts are glued in place, you can start on the bottom of the trunk. I usually start with a piece larger than needed, weight the carpet down in the middle to hold it in place, and then fit it into the corners and mark the straight cuts on the back of the carpet. You might want to make a pattern for this section also, instead of trying to fit it free hand.

Here is how I did one. I cut flat boards then just glued carpet to the boards. The boards are modular and removable. The back wall is actually held on with magnets. Use poster board to make template:

Nice MGB you have there. I had a 68 MK 1 some decades ago for about 16yrs.. The colour was similar to yours called Champion Red.
The boot interior was bare so your carpet will add a bit of class and soundproofing.
Cheers
