Custom Ford 9" Rear Build:
I'm building a 9" rear for a drag car and want to make sure I have all the parts here @ time of build. I know I'll need axle & pinion bearings, gaskets, and a solid crush sleeve. Here's what I have so far:
Housing Tubes Tube Ends Axles Studs 3rd Member Case Pinion Support Yoke Spool Gear Set Ring gear bolts Pinion Nut Anything missing? |

how about a bearing set for all that cool stuff?

Asside from axle and pinion bearings...sorry about that.

Solid spacer on pinion. If you can attempt to use two halves of a spacer with your shim(s) in the middle of the two halves. This will keep the shims from wearing down and opening up tolerances. Shim material is kinda weak. Seals?

56Maynard: Sounds like something to look into, for sure. I've never heard of that
Mustangsaly: The diff. for this app. is a spool. |
