Custom gas caps

I bought some "Cool cap!" gas caps from Air Ride Technology. I'm installing the first one in a 1976 International Terra. This vehicle originaly used a non vented cap.The stock vapor canistor is in place. The filler neck, like most vehicles has a vent hose near the cap. The new cap offers no way to vent like the original did. The tank is vented to the canister. So the question is, what do I do with the original vent hose that use to go to the top of the filler neck? Thanks

Leave it. I think that is an anti-belch port more than a vent port.

Problem is there is no way to hook it up. I could install a port lower on the filler neck but I think that would be too low.

Too bad. That is a nice feature to have so gas doesn't belch out as you get top off the tank.
