Custom Kickdown Cable

Hey guys, I have a TH350, and installed a custom kickdown cable. I am wondering if anyone knows of something I can use to put pressure on the part that connects to the transmission, much like the hold down for a distributor. I don't recall the manufacturer of the kickdown , because I installed it almost a year after I purchased it, and I had already discarded the packaging, and I don't recall it coming with a "hold down". Right now I have a guy who teaches machining trying to make me a makeshift "hold down". Any suggestions would be helpful.

Sounds like you have the best idea already. If he is a good machinist,he should be able to fix you up. If not, post some pics of the cable in the tranny along with dimensions like dia. of base of cable fitting, dia. of cable and how high it is above the tranny where clamp needs to be and I will make you one.You would only have to pay for the shipping.
