Question Custom Paint Job?

Let's see here...
I have a question about a custom paint job I would like...

Is it possible to have a black/blue paint job done?
In the sunlight it would be blue and in shaded areas, black?
Another thing, is it possible for a picture on the hood of my choice be visible only when in direct sunlight/light?
Maybe special paint or something?

Thanks for your time.

Peace be with you,
Haley

i think GM had a color called black sapphire that acted that way. beautiful blue in the sun and almost looked black in the shade.

i would say that it would have to be done using pearl , similar to what would be done with ghost flames.

you would paint the car black and put a blue pearl in it. hok lazuli blue pearl is very transparent until in the sun and would give you the effect you want. as for the image on the hood you could spray it on in the same way....with pearls but it really depends on what kind of image you are talking about. something like a logo or symbol would be easy as where something like a picture of someone or a more photo realistic pic would be nearly impossible.

Thanks for the comments.
It really helped me out alot.

I would like to learn alot more about classic muscle cars and just the mechanics on how they work.
I recently bought a "classic" car and I'm having problems with the car, as well as the dealership that sold it to me.

Anyways, thanks again everybody for taking the time to listen.

Peace be with you,
Haley

P.S. If you guys ever need to talk about anything, I'm always here. :-)

Go to the paint store and check the chip for black saphirre on the '89 Chevy trucks. That is what mine was and I drove it for 6 months before people realized it was blue. Under lights at night you could see it was blue but during the day in any shade at all it looked black.

Well, I now know it's possible and I think you all for your help.

I'm in a bind at the moment.
So, when I get this whole situation under control, I'll be able to do my custom painting and everything.

Again thanks

Peace be with you,
Haley
