Custom Rod Gauges for 55 Chevy

I found the manufacturer of this instrument panel. It is CUSTOM ROD GAUGES
in the city of Fresno, CA - They make a nice looking panel with the full sweep tach that I like. Does anyone have any experience with them? Good quality part? Warranty?
Thanks
Paul

As a Moderator ... I removed the company's email address and contact information.
IMHO ... it was not necessary when asking for a opinion on a product.
It looked like possible SPAM In the event it was not,
I left the thread open ... so anyone who has used this panel or has a opinion on it can answer the question.

I used one of those units in a 56 Nomad about 4 or 5 years ago. . It was ok. Not a great part though, the painted on faces were very delicate. IIRC, the movements are VDO. I'll have to look back in my paperwork to see if those guys are really the manufacturer.

I also installed one of the 57 version in another car...I was not impressed with that one either, but it has been some time, (7 years ago.) and can't recall exactly what the problem was.

Classic makes one of those multi gauge panels as well.

With better looking faces, and made in the US.

Later, mikey

No problem ...

We have a strict policy here that prohibits advertising in the forums. You can recommend a vendor or a manufacturer as long as you are not associated with them.

You ask ask opinions about a product or a vendor ... as long as you are not associated with them. The email and mailing contact address could be misconstrued as a sly way of spam ...

With you being a almost newbie, and us not knowing you ...
You can understand how it could look like a little spam.
GLAD it has all worked out

Custom Rod Gauges

I used custom Rod Gauges in my 67 Camaro and they look great. The problem with them is once you buy them you are on your own. I have problems setting up and no tech help available. My phone call and e-mails were never answered and they still do not work properly. I would never have bought them if I knew there was no tech support.

Custom Rod Gauges, are simply dishonest. They took 5 months to send my gauges which were defective when shipped. They took two months not answering emails or phone calls finally a one line email, ship gauges back... my mistake, called and said they were fixed, but needed $130 more for a warranty repair. Would not tell me what was wrong or send back my gauges, they still have them. Check the BBB in CA, don't even consider them they are on EBAY still, say the frustration and money, buy a Classic Bel Era set they work great and actually have customer service to talk to.

You guys that have had a bad experience with this firm need to post that in the company reviews section so no-one else will be burned by these folks.
